More than ten years ago I started my never-ending process of becoming
an IT expert. One area that has always kept me busy is web development.
annoying visual effects — by experimenting with my first website
in Microsoft FrontPage. This hobby grew into a professional career with
multiple personal websites and web applications as result.
I am experienced in the following scripting and programming languages,
I worked with a variety of open-source frameworks and libraries as:
- Ruby on Rails
- Zend, Laravel, and Lumen
- jQuery and AngularJS
- Bootstrap and Foundation
I studied Software Engineering at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences.
During this study I learned basic concepts like object oriented programming,
algorithms, computer architecture, design patterns, mathematics,
security, (unit) testing, and methodologies like Prince2, SCRUM, and ITIL.
After two years I decided to start a different study that better suits me,
ICT Technology at Fontys University of Applied Science. This study mostly
focuses on embedded programming and operating systems. I learned how systems
operate and got a deeper understanding of its fundamentals. I
specialized in Management and Security. Here I learned software security,
penetration testing, server management, monitoring, and intrusion
What interests me the most is low-level system programming,
operating systems, software architectures, and matters like performance
I am experienced in the following programming languages, but not limited
to, C++, C# (.NET), Java, and Python. I am familiar with continuous integration
and deployment, server management, test-driven development, performance analysis
and optimization, workload modeling, and technical writing.
I am result-driven, but not at the expense of quality. I consider
the business impact, design, security, and performance of my work.
My passion is to perform and to challenge, not only in technical
expertise but also to myself. A strong body makes the mind strong. I work
out regularly, have an interest in biochemistry, and am fascinated by the
My goal is that one day I will do revolutionary things with technology,
like assisting handicapped people, solving food shortages,
saving animals that are close to extinction,
predicting disasters or medicine interactions, or exploring the universe.
